WaylonFest 2008

Hi folks! I have two…count them two shows happening in July! Come see some great theatre and show your support to your favorite local ham...

I'm playing the ghost of John Barrymore in the very (you be the judge) funny play...

I Hate Hamlet July 5-20, Fridays, Saturdays 8pm

and Sundays at 2:30pm...at Asheville Community Theatre

Then next...

For one week only!

A play I wrote, plays from the li'l nashville will be performed by Run Amok productions at NC Stage. July 8-12 at 7:30pm. All seats are $10. A very funny and often meaty southern play set in a bar with beer drinking and cracker trash. http://www.ncstage.org/ You won't be bored...

NEW CAR!!

So a lots happened in the past say two months. It all started going down hill on a snowy Saturday. What we here in the mountains call a dogwood snow. Meaning all the dogwoods die as the snow is late and the flowers are in full bloom. This snow created slick conditions and a college girl ran into the "vangina" putting a small dent in her side. By the time I got to work, I couldn't go into reverse. Insurance totalled out my van and I had to find a new car. So...I called my dad. He's got two things going for him: He knows cars and is retired, thus having more time on his hands than me.

So I flew to Pensacola and my friend Virginia rescued me by having her daughter, April, pick me up. Then I went to eat lunch in Panama City and Virginia drove me the rest of the way. To Blountstown. God bless her. She got to see my ancestral home close up.
